Choosing the Right Wakeboard Size - Wakeboarding for Beginners: Your Guide to Getting Started

Selecting the correct size is crucial for your progression. A board that is too small will drag in the water, while one that is too large can be a bit hard to maneuver. Here's a simple size trick we use in store to help people out! Boards in the 130's are for 100 lbs, boards in the 140's for 200lbs. Take the last number in the size and times by 10. 

Example # 1 - Wakeboard is 135 cm.

• 130cm = 100 lbs
• 5cm x 10 = 50 lbs
• So a 135cm board is for roughly a 150 lbs rider

Example # 2 - Wakeboard is 142 cm. 

• 140cm = 200 lbs
• 2cm x 10 = 20 lbs
• So a 142cm board is for roughly a 220 lbs rider

(Sorry American friends, this is a Canadian trick! You will have to learn your centimetres!)
