The Slingshot Hover Glide series is the gold standard for versatility in the wakefoiling world. Whether you're riding behind the boat, in the waves or pumping off the dock, getting your setup right is the difference between effortless flight and a frustrating day on the water.
Here is your super quick guide to assembling and tuning your Slingshot wakefoil for maximum performance.
Start by connecting your wings to the fuselage. Front Wing: Slide your Slingshot Infinity wing onto the front of the fuselage. Ensure the holes align and use the provided M8 bolts. Rear Stabilizer: Attach the rear wing.
Pro Tip: If you want more stability, use the 48cm stabilizer. For more maneuverability and "pump-ability," stick with the 42cm.
The Mast: Connect your mast (usually 24" or 30" for wake) to the fuselage using the two large M8x45mm bolts.
Choose Your "Switch Fuse" Position. (if available on your setup) Slingshot’s Switch Fuse allows you to move the mast position relative to your wings:
- Position A (Back): The standard "back-footed" feel. Great for high-speed towing and aggressive carving.
- Position B (Middle): The "all-arounder." Perfect for most riders.
- Position C (Forward): Moves the lift forward. Recommended for beginners or riders who want to foil at slower boat speeds (9–11 mph).
Using your track nuts and pedestal, mount the mast to your foil board (like the WF-1 or WF-2). Beginners: Start with the mast all the way back in the tracks. This prevents the board from "popping up" too fast and helps you maintain control. Advanced: Move the mast to the middle or front of the tracks to increase lift and make the setup more responsive for pumping.
