What followed was our most meaningful evolution since the original Vapor. It rolls with less effort, establishes direction sooner, and finishes with consistency that builds confidence every pass. From tip to tail, the entire platform works together to support the skier’s movement without interruption or unexpected feedback. The 2027 Vapor represents a significant evolution in the way we shape a ski to move with the skier. Working from the tip back, Matt Rini refined the relationship between sidewall angle, tunnel shape, and surface area to create a more stable, predictable platform throughout the turn. A steeper sidewall angle allows the ski to roll earlier and more consistently, establishing direction sooner, while greater tip engagement keeps it moving through the finish rather than asking the skier to force the rotation.
Forward-Drive Geometry carries that movement through the entire pass. A flat section of tunnel rocker behind your rear heel helps the ski maintain direction under load, creating one continuous path from apex to edge change and more space into the next buoy. The new Vapor was shaped to keep the ski moving forward through every phase of the turn. By refining the relationship between sidewall angle, tunnel shape, and surface area, Matt Rini created a ski that rolls earlier, establishes direction sooner, and continues moving through the finish without interruption. The result is a more continuous, predictable path through the turn - creating more space into the next buoy and allowing the skier to move naturally while the ski stays quiet beneath them.
