2026 Rocky Mountain Pro AM - Nautique World Series

The World’s Best Are Coming to Calgary: The Inaugural Rocky Mountain Pro Am! This August, the Predator Bay Water Ski Club will host the inaugural Rocky Mountain Pro Am. Running from July 30 to August 2, 2026, this isn’t just another stop on the calendar, it is the inaugural event of the newly launched Nautique Water Ski World Series.

For years, Predator Bay has been a legendary site for high-performance skiing, having hosted World Championships and record-breaking tournaments many times in the past. But this year, the stakes are higher. As a primary stop on the Nautique World Series, this tournament is critical for athletes chasing the overall series title. We are going to see the absolute best 3-event skiers on the planet (Slalom, Trick, and Jump) battling it out in our own backyard and Shuswap Ski & Board can’t wait to be there on the shore with you!

You can’t talk about world-class athletic performances without talking about the ski machine that is pulling them. We are thrilled to see Nautique announce the launch of the Water Ski World Series.

The Ski Nautique will be the exclusive towboat for the Rocky Mountain Pro Am, and for good reason. It’s the boat that has pulled more world records than any other, known for its legendary tracking and soft wakes that allow pros to push harder and fly farther. Having Nautique’s support elevates this tournament to a true "world class" feel. When you see that Ski Nautique roaring down the lake, you know you’re watching the best in class of the industry towing the best waterski athletes on earth.

At Shuswap Ski & Board, this is what we live for. For 30 years, we’ve been the heartbeat of watersports in Western Canada. Seeing an event of this magnitude land in Calgary validates everything we love about this community. We are proud to support the ecosystem that allows these events to thrive, from the grassroots local skiers to the international podium chasers. When you see the Shuswap Ski & Board tent on the shore or our team athletes on the water, know that it represents three decades of passion for life on the water.

Speaking of our athletes, Team @shuswapsnb has some heavy hitters attending the Pro Am. The competition will be fierce, but our crew is ready to light it up. Here is who you need to watch:

Joel Poland: The Most Talented Waterskier Of Our Generation

If you haven't watched Joel Poland ski, you are missing out on the most electrifying talent in the sport today. As the Overall World Record holder, Joel is a true triple threat. He doesn't just compete; he puts on a show. Whether he’s shortening the rope to 41 off in slalom, flipping 12,000+ point technical trick runs, or launching massive 230+ foot jumps, Joel brings an intensity that is unmatched. He is currently the man to beat in the overall race, and he’ll be looking to make a massive statement in Calgary.

Paige Rini: The Technically Effortless Athlete

Paige is a force of nature on the water. A Canadian, podium decorated, powerhouse who has successfully transitioned to dominance on the international pro podium. She is one of the most versatile skiers in the world. Paige attacks every discipline with a technical precision that is beautiful and galvanizing for fans to watch. Skiing on Canadian water always brings out an extra gear in her performance. You can expect the crowd to be loud and that Paige will feed off that “home-turf” energy. She is fresh off contributing to Team Canada’s Silver at the 2025 World Championships, and Paige is skiing better than ever.

Ryan Dodd: The King of Flight

Ryan Dodd isn't just a jumper; he is the jumper. A legend in the sport and the current World Record holder (254 feet!), Ryan has completely redefined what is possible off the ramp. When the jump finals kick off on Sunday, all eyes will be on him and the crowd will be breathless as he roars into the ramp, cascading across the sky to the screams of fans 100’s of feet behind him. There is nothing quite like seeing Ryan cut for the ramp and travel the length of a football field in the air. If you want to see human flight, make sure you are lakeside when Ryan is on the water.
