Set at Parco Nautico del Sesia, Recetto, the 2025 Worlds brought together more than 180 elite waterskiers from over 30 countries, each vying for glory in slalom, tricks, jump, and overall disciplines. It was a vivid week of global waterskiing excellence and Shuswap Ski & Board was glued to the live stream catching all the action! Team Canada athletes are some of the best in the world and with the World Titles on the line, our skiers gave it their all… earning silver in the Team Overall standings, thanks to a deep roster of waterskiing talent. Many team members delivering world class performances across all three disciplines.

Joel Poland – Great Britain (Shuswap Ski & Board Team)
Joel delivered an electrifying performance in the Open Men Overall, finishing 6th with a strong all-around score: 2540.91 points. He took the Gold Medal in Men’s Jump with a gigantic kick off the ramp at 72.1 m. His top tier results continue to reflect his signature versatility across all three disciplines of waterskiing.
Ryan Dodd – Canada (Shuswap Ski & Board Team)
Dodd powered through prelims with a top-seeding MEGA JUMP of 70.5 m, then delivered a massive 70.1 m launch in the finals. Ryan clinched the silver medal in Men’s Jump just behind Shuswap teammate, Joel Poland.

Paige Rini – Canada (Shuswap Ski & Board Team)
Paige impressed across all three disciplines, showcasing her unwavering consistency on the water. She finished 4th in the Open Women Overall with a combined score of 2523.48, narrowly missing the podium.
