2024 IWWF World Under 17 Waterski Championships

We are getting close to the 2024 IWWF World U17 Waterski Championships!!!  We are very excited to host over 100 athletes from 20 nations here in Calgary and we want you to come too!

Check out the IWWF Weekly Ranking Lists to see the level of skiing from these U17 Athletes. The mens Trick event will be an amazing battle with several of the skiers capable of tricking over 12000 points!!! The top women trickers are over 8500 points! We are talking multiple flips and spins done in mere seconds people! In the Jump event, some of the guys are soaring over 53m (170+ feet!) and the women are flying over 45m (140+ feet!). Let's put that in perspective... picture laying a 10 story apartment building down on the ground and then jumping over it...lengthwise!!! WILD! In the Slalom event, we will see swerve specialists, both men and women, getting into 39' off / 10.75m and beyond!!! We hope to see many of you at the event enjoying the stiff competition!

Shuswap Ski & Board team athlete, Kate Pinsonneault, will be competing in Slalom, Jump and Overall! She has some tough competition with 100 Slalom Skiers, 69 Jumpers, 81 Trick Skiers at Worlds!! If you can't make it to the shoreline be sure to tune into the live stream and cheer her on!

Other Canadians competing in the event - Sofia Pelkey, Sebastian Hron, Enzo Kristian, Sophie Lahaie, Louis Cuilleret, Samson Clunie, Reuben Mednick, Easton Graves, Max Strilchuk - Good luck to all!!

TWBC will be here webcasting the event!!
